Flash.Me is a web app for people who want to catch up on the day’s news, quickly. Flash is the brainchild of my classmate Niels Nørgaard, was designed by Britt Vogel, and primarily written by Kevin Clifford. I built the site to be mobile first, but opted not to build native apps in favor of one solution that works on any device. If a user bookmarks the site, it has the same look and feel as a native app when opened from their home screen.
The site is in alpha testing right now, as we’re still trying to work out the kinks.
Flash.Me started out as our interactive capstone project at Medill, but we’re looking to turn the site into a fully-functional news site after graduation.
Check it out at flashme.us.
